Working Together To Be The Best

Curriculum

We believe that children should be educated in a lively, attractive, happy and caring environment where they feel ready both to learn and to share social experiences. We feel that the teaching of the basic skills of reading, writing and numeracy are of the utmost importance, and that these can be best achieved through a creative and outdoor curriculum supported by PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education). Learning through play is a valuable experience for all children.

It is currently accepted that Primary School children are taught to behave in socially and morally acceptable ways, to extend their written and spoken language and literature, to comprehend mathematical and scientific ideas, to participate in a range of aesthetic and physical activities and through their religion, moral, historical and geographical studies, begin to see their own situation in a broader social context.

It is through science, centres of interest and topic work that language, reading and mathematical skills are developed. We aim to cater for the educational, spiritual, physical and emotional needs of your child on an individual basis. However, if any parent feels that their child may have special curricular or educational needs, please contact the school.
